Tips and Tricks for Successful Weight Loss

Losing Belly Fat: What's the Best Approach?
Losing belly fat is something that very many people, and increasingly women, are interested in. Let's say up front: no discrimination against women! It's simply because, due to the biology of the female body, fat cells are distributed differently than in a man.
In short, the female body on average carries more fat than a male body, which also has a lot to do with the greater muscle mass men have. Muscles burn fat, weigh far more than fat tissue by comparison, and are therefore quite helpful when it comes to burning fat.
Then there's another aspect, which relates to the fact that in women, fat tissue is very often found in places like the belly, hips, butt and thighs. In other words, exactly the places where we can least use it. If you look around the newsstand, you'll find so many tabloid magazines with tempting headlines that go something like: "Lose 4 pounds of belly fat in just 7 days, with just 1 minute of exercise a day, and eat whatever you want." Of course, we've deliberately exaggerated this a bit for humorous effect. Still, if you had collected every magazine with the word "belly fat" over the past 2 years, you could surely build 2 houses out of that many magazines.
Losing Belly Fat in Specific Spots Alone Is Impossible
When it comes to losing belly fat, you can actually throw all those magazines with promises of this kind in the trash. From a biological standpoint, it's simply not possible for a human organism and metabolism to get rid of fat in specific places. Of course, on a diet you often lose more fat in certain places than in others. The same is true when gaining weight, and the bitter truth is, we simply have no influence over that. What we do have influence over is whether we put on fat or lose fat. We can control that precisely, and even if at the start of a diet or change in eating habits we only lose fat in places we weren't actually focusing on, the belly fat will eventually go away too. Namely at the latest when the other fat reserves have been used up.
Losing Belly Fat and Practical Tips
To get a bit more concrete, we want to give you a few practical but very important pieces of information and tips on the topic. Burning fat specifically at the belly is not possible. Remember that. Loss of body fat is always driven by diet and exercise. Basically, it's quite simple, because it's just about how many calories you feed your body versus the calories you burn each day. If you eat more than your body burns, it stores the excess energy as fat, and if the opposite is the case, your body starts burning your fat reserves as energy reserves. You then have 2 options: either you increase your calorie burn through more exercise and activity, or you eat fewer high-calorie foods. Ideally you do both. Always keep in mind, though, that the fewer calories you take in, the healthier your food should be. Because while you want to cut a lot of calories, you don't want to cut important vitamins and minerals, and healthy fats and proteins shouldn't be missing either.
